LIVERPOOL WINS ITS MAIDEN CLUB WORLD CUP!

The Reds get one back at Flamengo after their 1981 Intercontinental Cup final defeat as Jurgen Klopp now has a third major trophy added to his collection at Anfield - Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and now the FIFA Club World Cup. Liverpool has been made to work for the title by Jorge Jesus' excellent Flamengo side which threatened throughout the regulation time but didn't have enough left for the extra time.

90+5' VAR hits Liverpool! The contact from Rafinha looks right on the line of the penalty box as the referee overturns his decision as the Flamengo fans' stand erupts in the Khalifa Stadium. Rafinha's yellow card is also revoked as the referee says its a clean tackle from the former Bayern Munich man. Jurgen Klopp has a similar expression on his face as that of Pep Guardiola at the end of the Champions League quarterfinal second leg against Tottenham Hotspur.
